Technical questions
The link is not working. What should I do?
If you click on the link in the email and it does not take you to the survey or the survey does not open, then there are a number of steps you can take to troubleshoot:
1. Check that your internet is working
2. Copy and paste the link in the email into your internet browser and try again
3. If you are still unable to open the survey, then try using another browser. This means that if you are using Safari as an example and you can’t open the survey from that browser, then open another browser eg Chrome and try again
The operation of the link will be monitored by Investment Trends who are hosting the survey. In the unlikely event that there are any technical issues with the link and if the browser solution outlined above does not work, then please try again after 2 hours
The survey timed out before I had time to finish. How can I access it so that I can complete it?
If the survey timed out, you will need to start again from the beginning. This is because Investment Trends does not place cookies in your browser to track survey participation
How do I know that my survey saved at the end?
Your survey responses are captured every time you complete a page. At the end of the survey you will be directed to a ‘Thank you’ page which will also give you the option to enter the prize draw. When you press the ‘submit’ button, you will see the following message ‘Thank you for participating in this research’ which is an indication that your survey has been saved
How do I know my entry to the competition has been received?
At the end of the survey you will be directed to a ‘Thank you’ page which will also give you the option to enter the prize draw. You will be given the opportunity to select yes or no to enter the competition. When you press the ‘submit’ button, you will see the following message ‘Thank you for participating in this research’ which is an indication that your survey and competition entry preference has been saved

Which companies are participating in this survey?
A number of listed companies participate in the Investment Trends Australian Retail Shareholder Study on an annual basis. Sometimes but not always, they send the survey to their shareholders at the same time
What is the purpose of this survey?
To give you the chance to provide anonymous feedback to the company you hold shares in. The purpose is to improve the information and services provided to you as a retail shareholder
How will the survey information that I provide be used?
Your responses are confidential and will only ever be shown in aggregate after being combined with those of other survey respondents

The survey invitations are sent to a random selection of the company’s shareholders

You can choose to enter the draw to win a $5,000 EFTPOS Gift Card. Three runners up will each receive a $500 EFTPOS gift card

At the end of the survey, you are asked whether you would like to be entered into the draw. If you choose ’yes’ Investment Trends will automatically include you

Do I have to participate?
The survey is voluntary and you are not obligated to participate
Will it affect my shareholding?
No it won’t, this survey is voluntary
I have two holdings can I complete the survey twice?
We encourage shareholders to complete the survey once for each different company they are invited from
Can I complete the survey on behalf of someone else? eg, husband or wife?
The survey is designed for individuals involved in the decision making process of their shareholding. If you receive company communications and have a view on the company across a variety of areas then you are welcome to complete the survey
My holding is in my Company name, can I enter the competition under my personal name?
If you choose to enter the prize draw and are one of the four winners, the Registry will pass these details to Investment Trends for the sole purpose of delivering the prize. When Investment Trends contact you, you can choose for the prize to be issued to your personal name
Privacy/data security
Is my personal data shared?
No your personal data is not collected or shared as part of the survey. However, if you choose to enter the prize draw and win a prize, the Registry must provide your contact details to Investment Trends so they can organise delivery of the prize
Will my holding details be provided to investment Trends?
No
Who gave Investment Trends my contact details?
Investment Trends has not received any personal information about shareholders. Listed companies have engaged the Registry to issue this email on the company’s behalf
